Half Way to San Antonio

Weekend recap

Our fall marathon training group is starting to really ramp the miles and the half marathoners are pretty close to their highest mileage. It’s so tough to train in Houston for a fall event. While we got a little break early with some light rain it was still oppressive conditions with the humidity. Everyone did great keeping the training pace comfortable.

The Houston Half group completed 6 miles and now has the luxury of staying close to this same mileage for the next six weeks.

We had a little watermelon party at the finish of the workout as we didn’t have a Saturday clinic scheduled.

We did have what may be WoodlandsFit’s first ever Sunday afternoon clinic at Tektonic in the Legends Sports Complex. Licensed nutritionist Lauren Kelly did a very nice presentation on the importance of proper nutrition and how this can help your training. The clinic was very well attended.

Hmmm... I didn't get that email...

I don't recognize anyone because they all look so pretty in real clothes and unsweaty!

Sorry I missed this one. I did have a great afternoon with the kids tho.

That title means that you should be running the half marathon on Sunday that I'm planning on doing. :)
