This week was encouraging.
Monday – Off – Astro’s home opener. (win 5-3)
Tuesday – Easy 30 minutes
Wednesday – Off
Thursday – Easy 30 minutes
Friday – Off – Pack 200 traffic cones and TWRC tent for BMI 5K
Saturday – Off - Volunteer at BMI 5K in Conroe.
Sunday – 4 miles – Felt slow but doing one of my old run routes made the week for me.
I stayed up late Sunday to watch the live video feed from the Arizona Ironman finish line. It almost makes me want to do one someday. Coaching along side Kim twice a week doesn’t help as her athletes are very inspiring and encouraging. I would have to be training with quality workouts for a long time before ever considering it.
Jon Walk and I talked a bit on the phone while watching the Ironman finishers….One question came up…what’s harder to do, running 100 miles or doing an Ironman? The 100’s I did were pretty hard.
Results for TWRC club members in the event: Dana Lyons – 10:18:15 – 2nd in age group and a Kona slot, Michael Collins – 11:07:57 – PR by almost an hour, Nora Wilson – 15:06:14, Bill Crews – 15:37:55 – Bill is a cancer survivor, Dana-Sue Crews – 16:05:08. TNT Alumni from The Woodlands now living in Temple, TX – Jon Minor – 10:56:07.
Congratulations to everyone!

Almost made you want to do one...
I will cheer you on all the way
:-)
I was not aware of the live feed. I did catch the IM 70.3 championship on tv on Sat. They had a really inspiring lady that had lost a bunch of weight and was out there getting it done.
