Tuesday Night Track

I arrived early to get in a very short workout of a warm up, 4 x 200 with a 200 recovery ( :53, :55, :55, :55 ), then walked until everyone arrived. Cathy Steele also put in a short workout of 400’s before the group arrived.

Luke’s Beat Runners are heading into week three of the Montgomery County Triple and stayed with our 4–6 x 400 at 80% workout that is not too hard…..but at the same time keeps everyone sharp. The group looked awesome.

Our marathoners getting ready for Grandma’s & San Antonio did different effort level 800’s. ( Grandma’s is beginning to taper )…again a great job running the target paces.

The Tri Sprint & Tri Olympic groups did their workouts under the watchful eyes of Kim Hager and Rick Cook.

It’s so much fun coaching with Cathy, Kim, Debbie & Rick. We all approach training pretty much the same. At the same time our different backgrounds and experiences gives us all a little different perspective that compliments each other well. We have gotten to know each other well enough that we almost finish each other’s sentences. What really makes us a great team is everyone's heart for our participants (I should say our friends) We all care a LOT about what we do.

After training we pulled a little surprise on Waverly Walk who was running with her dad at the track. Happy Birthday Waverly…yes, its paybacks for the RTW surprise back in January.
