Track Night

With very stormy conditions all day most didn't even attempt to come out to the track for a workout. We caught a break in the weather between 6:30 and 8pm so our track workout was on for anyone who showed up. There were four from the triathlon group and three from the marathon group.

One of the very cool things about coaching with Kim is that we think a lot alike. It's almost scary. She outlines a workout and suggests a pace level and....hey, it's also what I was planning and almost to the second on paces. Last night was not an exception other than her triathletes were doing 4-6 x 400 and the marathoners were doing 4 x 400.

Misty and Special K did what I would call a perfect set up workout for their debut marathon this weekend. After warm up it was 4 x 400 meters, the first two at goal marathon pace, the next two about 20 seconds faster per 400. Recovery was a standing 90 seconds. They looked really good last night.

With the relaxed and short workout we all had time to talk and share some thoughts about the upcoming weekend.
