We announced our WoodlandsFit training program for the San Antonio Rock-N-Roll Marathon and at the same time I began a streak of sorts. I'll recap the complete week after Sunday but for all those TIR Bloggers reading this, I have run 3 days in a row this week...plus a very rare bit of pacing a few of the runners at Knox yesterday (very little pacing but still got some comments about it)
Karen made it out to the track...it was great to see her and discuss a plan of what events she would like to have on her schedule.
Katy will also get some assistance very soon but she's a little high maintenance as far as running races. Everytime I turn around she's planning on running something. I might need to organize the Jon Walk "MOD" schedule for her (thanks Holden for the "Marathon On Demand" tag. The typical MOD schedule might look something like this...
Mon - recovery run or 1 hour on treadmill at easy level
Tue - Track workout. Doesn't matter what's scheduled. Just jump in and run.
Wed - easy run or 1 hour on treadmill
Thur - tempo run or 1 hour on treadmill at progressively harder settings
Fri - Taper or easy 1 hour on treadmill
Sat - Race - 5K-50mile distance
Sun - Race again - whatever you can find within a few hundred miles - unless you did an ultra on Sat, then 1 hour on treadmill
Repeat 50 weeks - only exceptions are for TIR weekend and MC3 Fall Series.

LOL @ the schedule!
Have a great weekend :)
To the serious runners who may stumble on and read this, we only live once - and there's so much in life to experience (then to only live life to hit a particular time.)
Amen Jon! And for those of us, (like me) that didn't start till they were 40 to run, we want to make up for lost time! If we can do it now, why not?
I live to run long and eat bodaciously afterwards. Except when my shin hurts, then I only eat bodaciously.
