Excitement in the Air

We’re getting the hang of keeping a big group of runners organized for our Tuesday Night track workout. Last nights workout went very well. Warm-up then drills then the workout, a cool down and a core routine with 50 people. Everyone did great!

With most of the Luke’s Beat coaches running TIR we have encouraged our group to run either the Rodeo Run or Spring Fever 5K this weekend. With a lot going on this weekend there was a buzz of excitement at the track. We had several TIR runners again. Texian Road Warriors – 9, Raging Aging – 1, WoodlandsFit – 1, Tejas Renegades – 2, and The Athletic Girls Next Door – 1. The cool thing is everyone is truly excited about the weekend. We were all comparing our start times and wondering when and if we would see each other on the course. The conversations have shifted from lighthearted trash talking to genuine encouragement for each other.

Good Luck to TWRC Vice President Tony Allison who is traveling today in route to Antarctica to run a marathon on a different continent…(his 4th continent) The race is March 5th.

I think he's taking Amy along with him ... she's doing the half, if I'm not mistaken. :)

Amazing! I've been looking at the pictures from that marathon. What an experience that will be!

I am so excited, I just want to skip over the next two days and get to Gonzales!!

I'm pumped to go!!! I hope I don't go crazy and start running my first leg like it was a 5K dash.
