The 30th running of the Huntsville Half went well. We had several runners from TWRC and WoodlandsFit make the trip and many came home with hardware. Race director Niki Bellnoski and the Seven Hills Running Club organized a very good event. I was glad that TWRC could help with some of the route cones.

Sunday - 10/12
Jon Walk and I made the trip to Clearlake for the USA 10 Miler to support our TWRC Team..... well, actually two thirds of one team. Nancy Prejean cruised to a first place finish in her age group and qualified for invited runner status for the Houston Marathon.

Monday - 10/13
I've been fighting an issue with my left knee for several weeks. I actually went to Bally's today and worked out on the stationary bike and had no issues with my knee. Maybe a change in workout strategy is what I need.
Tuesday - 10/14
Light crowd at the track. The workout was warm up, run 1 mile at marathon goal pace, then 4 x 400 at a comfortable pace, then run from the mosquitoes. Everyone there looked very good.
Thursday - 10/16
Officially accepted a new job offer. Now it'll be 40 less miles driving each day with a very good opportunity to help build a small company.
Friday - 10/17
Yeah!!! Our insurance adjuster finally made it out to assess the damage to our home.
