Survived Ike

Still no power in Spring a week after the storm. One set of power poles were replaced today by a crew out of Florida. There is another main line still on the road...but the trees have been cleared and new poles lay on the road waiting the next crew.

This post is from my daughters home that has power.

We lost three pine trees. One is still on my roof, one is on the neighbors porch, and one landed on the road. We're still in clean up mode. The insurance adjuster's appointment is still a week away.

My daughter Keriann's home was crushed by a very large pine and is a total loss. We were in the house when the tree hit. Everyone is fine and they are already in a rent house.

My daughter Shannon's home lost shingles and has some water damage to two rooms. She does have power restored.
