Friday Notes

TRWC
I’ve been a little slow posting as I was having a technical problem with the September Deer Tracks newsletter (the newsletter can be viewed from the club website). I think it is resolved for all future issues and just maybe I can be on time from this point forward. I am also informed from our club webmaster that the new TWRC web-page is very close to being unveiled. The new version will be much easier to maintain and keep up to date. Look for a big change soon.

The club tent has arrived and is VERY nice. We purchased an extra logo'ed panel for our existing tent that Dan Green donated and it's also VERY nice. EZ-Up did a fantastic job. I'll be setting it up and taking pictures to post this weekend. Look for it at Ten for Texas and at a race near you in the future. A big thank-you to club VP Tony Allison for organizing the donations for the purchase and a very big THANK YOU to the sponsors Entergy, ChevronPhillips, CRC Insurance Services, South Montgomery County YMCA and One Source Industrial Supply. Also a big thank you to club member Jim Braden for being the driving force behind the scenes.

Montgomery County Challenge
Roxanne Davis with the South Montgomery County YMCA is a class act. She took the initiative to include all of the Montgomery County Challenge events (and an additional event in Oak Ridge) on the YMCA website. The big winners are the other events.

Tuesday Track
Tuesday track went well. Another big WoodlandsFit group “enjoyed” the 30/30 workout. Kim Hager’s triathletes looked great. Dana-Sue Crews had a few runners from her TNT group mixed in. It was all good fun…..except for our walkers who were steamrolled a bit which we all apologize for.

My Training
It’s getting better and better. A few little aches and pains here and there but all is good right now. Sunmart is 70 days away and counting down fast.
