Tuesday Night Track
As always an awesome Tuesday night group. I'm a little old school about my training. I don't remember ever saying anything about running in the heat of the summer or when it's raining, or whatever the conditions. I just go for a run and log the miles. Well...I'm not old school anymore as it was downright hot tonight. Kim Hager and I modified the workout so everyone would a) get a good workout in and b) not kill themselves doing it. We did a descending ladder. The long course triathletes did 1600, 1200, 800, 400, 200. The sprint, Olympic distance and Half Marathoners did 800, 600, 400, 200...all with a complete recovery inbetween. Everyone did great. I did jump in and paced a little. One real positive for me for the night was finishing the last 200 with the group. The pace was a little fast but I was still able to accelerate easily about half way through and clocked 40 sec. Too bad Jon wasn't there to see it. No camera for the Bigfoot sighting.....he was moving too fast.
