One of The Woodlands Rebels, George Mendes, will bicycle from coast to coast to raise money and awareness for his father Isidro Mendes’ battle with cancer. George has run with our "Rebel" group (Team In Training Alumni and friends who support the TNT program) the last few years.
I have added the Tour de Isidro link to George's blog.

Only two more weeks!!!! Today is the official debut of my blog . The blog has a copy of publicity articles, map of my route, proposed daily itinerary, and links to my personal website for collecting donations and learning more about LiveStrong. I will also update the blog during my ride with pictures and commentary so that you can track my progress across America. The blog also allows each of you to post "comments" of support or send me messages, which I strongly encourage all of you to do both before I leave for my trip and while I am riding. I will also maintain an "honor list" of cancer heroes who I am dedicating this ride in honor of..
I want to thank those of you who have supported my efforts in raising funds to promote awareness and research by making a contribution to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Because of your efforts to date, we have raised over $11,800 for supporting LAF programs. Lance Armstrong has often talked about the responsibility that goes along with completing treatment for any cancer. There is an obligation owed to the cancer community to honor those that came before us by continuing the fight to rid our society of this disease and tirelessly persist until a cure is found. As part of that cancer community, I share Lance's passion for fund raising to promote awareness and research. Let's join forces and fight to have fewer and fewer people impacted by this word as each year passes.
We all have special persons in our lives who have been diagnosed with cancer. I want to help you honor those persons.
